Web technologies and new media design firm, is currently seeking a database
administrator to assist the frogfire DIGITAL, Inc. efforts. frogfire DIGITAL, Inc. is
looking for people to coordinate physical changes to computer databases. This person codes, tests, and implements the
physical database, applying knowledge of database management system. Design logical and physical databases or
review description of changes to database design to understand how changes to
be made affect physical database.
Establish physical database parameters.
Code database descriptions and specify identifiers of database to
database management system or direct others in coding database
descriptions. Be an integral part of the
team by calculating optimum values for database parameters, such as amount of
computer memory to be used. Specify
which users can access databases and what data can be accessed by user. Test and correct errors, and refine changes
to database. Test and correct errors,

and enter codes of utility program to monitor database performance, such as
distribution of records and amount of available memory. Work with creative
professionals to leverage new technology into cutting-edge new media projects
in an exciting , entrepreneurial environment. Direct programmers and
analysts to make changes to database management system. Review and correct programs. Answer user questions. Confer with coworkers to determine impact of
database changes on other systems and staff cost for making changes to
database. Modify database programs to
increase processing performance. Pass
your knowledge along by training users. Ability to learn new
technology is incredibly important as is past production experience. We're
looking for a proven self-motivator. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED OF
APPLICANT: ·
Bachelor
degree in Business Computer Systems, Computer Science or related area ·
1-2
years directly related experience ·
Knowledge
of and exemplary use of the fundamental concepts, practices and procedures
