Equifax Risk
Management Services provides full check collection and data entry
services for the retail industry. Collection methods include electronic
redeposit, letters, and inbound and outbound telephone calling.
All collectors are FDCPA certified. Equifax provides electronic
reporting.
Equifax Risk
Management Services offers the following processes to ensure the
highest possible recoveries for each client:
- Equifax's
Data Entry department enters and updates all data in the Equifax
Negative Check File.
- All accounts
use a letter collection series and a service charge letter series.
Equifax provides customized letters tailored to meet the customer's
needs.
- Equifax
electronically redeposits all eligible items via the Automated
Clearing House, in compliance with all NACHA guidelines.
- All items
remaining unpaid following electronic redeposit and initial letter
mailings move to the outbound calling units for contact seven
days a week. Equifax works items individually and through a Davox
Dialer unit. Outbound operators attempt to contact the check writer
several times each month and at various times of day.
- Equifax
uses the following Skip Tracing techniques: On-Line Credit Reports,
NCOA, MetroNet, and Electronic Directory Matching. · Inbound operators
take calls Monday to Friday until midnight EST. Generally, these
calls originate from letter campaigns and focus on customer service
needs. Equifax provides a specialized team of inbound collectors
to accept calls generated from outbound calling activity.
