New version of Infomark offers direct link to user data

Market analysis tool adds Reports wizard, latest demographics

SAN DIEGO, November 13, 1996 - Complex market analysis projects can be performed more easily with the Nov. 15 release of Infomark for Windows 7.0, the latest version of Equifax National Decision Systems' well-known desktop marketing workstation.

New features make it simple to integrate a company's own internal databases into the decision support system and to produce reports.

Infomark's new Microsoft Open Database Connectivity (ODBC) interface allows customer databases to be linked directly and seamlessly to Infomark, speeding integration with demographic, lifestyle segmentation, business, consumer expenditure and other marketing information.

A new Quick Reports wizard automates report production, allowing virtually anyone to easily and quickly request and print a market area report from Infomark.

A new Custom Report Editor makes easy work of accessing and editing customer and market data. This intuitive editing screen provides one-step selection of multiple variables, "cut and paste" capabilities and simultaneous editing of multiple custom reports.

"These new features expand accessibility to all companies needing to make critical marketing decisions in a real time competitive environment," said Stephen Nye, general manager of Equifax National Decision Systems. "Now, the Infomark 7 series, with integrated wizards and ODBC, delivers faster, more flexible, interactive decision-making capabilities."

With Version 7.0 also come the latest updates and five-year projections of consumer demographic information, as well as updated business, consumer segmentation, consumer demand, utility, postal geographic and cartographic information. More than 60 Equifax National Decision Systems' databases are available for licensing with Infomark.

Infomark is used by hundreds of companies to address their most complex market issues. The system allows users access to up to eight gigabytes of marketing information stored on CD-ROMs. Windows-based PC software enables data for any size or shape market to be easily integrated, manipulated, analyzed and displayed in reports, graphs, game plans and maps.

Users license the data they need for analysis of markets, product demand, competition, businesses and sales territories, strategic planning, customer targeting, direct marketing, site selection, demand forecasting, and customer segmentation for any U.S. location.
